During the 2005 Legislative Session the following six bills sponsored by Jim were passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor:

Limiting Supplemental Evaluations in Divorce
(HB 05-1157)
In order to protect children in contested divorce proceedings, this bill limits the
number of evaluations of a child to two, unless a judge allows more.

Distribute High Cost Support Fund Fairly
(HB 05-1203)
This bill distributes the high cost support fund for telephone companies fairly among all the companies, including those in the rural areas.

Modify Respiratory Therapy Practice Act
(SB 05-147)
This bill allows for the certification of respitory therapists.

Food Distribution Administrative Fees
(HB 05-1324)
This bill maintained funding for the school lunch nutrition program.

Trash Recyclable Loads Transportation
(HB 05-1011)
This bill made Colorado law conform to federal law for the transportation of trash recyclable loads.

Water Adjudication Notice Requirements
(HB 05-1156)
This bill increased the efficiency of state water courts by allowing
them to use technology more efficiently.
